Sethford L. Powell Avon /Caledonia: Passed away November 18, 2014 at age 88. Seth was born June 20, 1926 in York, NY. He owned and operated Powell Septic Tank Service in Caledonia. His wife, Dorothy and son, Larry Powell predeceased him. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Walt Christian; significant other, Peggy Young; grandsons, Jeff Hamilton and Joel Culbreath; 2 great-granddaughters, Jadyn and Baylie Culbreath; nephews, Don (Cathy) Batzel and Tim (Ginny) Batzel. Seth's loved ones would like to extend a sincere thank you to the wonderful staff at the Avon Nursing Home for their compassion, care, kindness and support. Friends may call Friday, November 21, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, 350 Genesee St., Avon, where his funeral service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10:30 A.M.
