Mary Louise C. Bailor

Avon --Mary Louise Carney Bailor, 94, of Avon Geneseo Road, Avon, died Sunday June 14, 2026.

She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Walt in 2015 , granddaughter Maggie in 2003, her sisters Florence and Arlene, her brothers Johnny and Robert.

She is survived by her brothers Harold (Josie) and Bill, children Nancy (Jeff), Beth, and Steven. She leaves behind her grandchildren Katie (Chris), Christopher (Ore), Charlie (Kate), Brian (Alana), Sam (Mary), Elizabeth (Cuyler), Mary, Emma, and greatgrandchildren Enzo, Peter, Calum, Karis, and Tunde , as well as her beloved dog, Annie.

Mary Louise was born January 18, 1932 in Craig Station to Florence and John Carney. She married Walt in 1954. She loved gardening, canning, freezing, making quilts and watching the birds at her feeders. She was generous with her zucchini bread with chocolate chips, always making sure everybody had some in their freezer! Her pie crusts were legendary and the skill was passed on to her daughters.

She especially loved spending time with her family and would brag about them to anyone who would listen.

At Mary Louise’s request, services and interment will be held at the convenience of her family. Private interment, South Avon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Livingston County Hospice, 2 Murray Hill Drive Mt. Morris, NY 14510.
