Mary Lou Farrell

Avon-Mary Lou Farrell, passed away on March 23, 2026, at age 91.

She is predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Frederick Farrell; brother, Royal Dieter.

She is survived by her sons, Frederick (Joan) Farrell of Avon, Timothy R. (Liz) Farrell of NC; grandchildren, Jonathan (Joanna) Farrell, Caitlyn M. Farrell (Joshua Smith) all of Rochester, Joshua Farrell of Avon, Courtney Farrell of NC, Jacob Farrell, Jared Kanty of Avon, Meredith (Mason) Marino of NC; great-grandchildren, Connor, Emma, Liam Farrell of Rochester, Owen, Miles Marino of NC; brother, William J. Dieter; several nieces and nephews; and close friends Bonnie Burch and Gail Kanty.

Mary Lou graduated from Avon High School Class of 1952. She was a member of the Avon Fire Department Auxillary, and volunteered for the Avon Girl Scouts. She loved crafting. She was also known for her love of dogs.

Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday, April 8, from 12-2pm at Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, 350 Genesee Street, Avon, where her Funeral Service will be held at 2pm. Interment East Avon Cemetery.
