John "Jack" Graham

John Merrill Graham, 94 known to many as “Jack” a lifelong resident of Avon, passed peacefully on Sunday July 12, 2026 at Noyes Hospital surrounded by his children.
Jack was predeceased, by his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Marty Graham, his parents, John Graham and Isebelle Graham, his siblings, Nancy Grayson Heath, David L. Graham. He lived the first part of his life in Stafford/Leroy.

Jack is survived by his children, Julie Caldwell (Jeff), Jane Long (Mike), Anne Freeman (Terry), Mary Graham (Kevin), John Graham (Karen).

Grandkids Bryan Long (Jessica), Ali Caldwell (Brianna Smith), Caitlin Long (Mike Ramsey), Carly Christman (James), Maureen Housel (John), Caroline Caldwell, Jordan Graham (Hayden Stamm), Graham Freeman (Emma Herman), Shannon Graham. Great-grand kids, Landon, Haisley, Charlotte, Zahn, Palmer, Harper. Sister in Law, Julie Moran and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Jack dedicated 45 plus years of his career at Leroy Machine Shop. He also dabbled as a Realtor at Mack Real Estate. He also was a proud member of the William Van Zandt Hose Department of the Avon Fire Department, where he served his community for many years.
Jack found great happiness in life’s simple pleasures, whether tending his Lawn, enjoying a round of golf, washing his car and relaxing on the porch at 55 Lacy Street. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family in Avon & Colorado.

Jack will be remembered for his humor, and “Jack-isms”….keep it under 80, look at the head on that, you would make coffee nervous, see ya at Saint Mattress………..the list goes on and on.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 29, at 11am, at Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, 350 Genesee Street, Avon. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery.

Jack’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered love, support and friendship throughout his life. Especially his caregivers, and friends at Morgan Estates of Geneseo, NY.
