Jacob A. "Jake" Dziekonski Obituary (1925

Avon: November 20, 2014 at age 89. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Beverley (Farr) Dziekonski; children, Thomas (Janet) Dziekonski, Patricia (Stephen) Megliore, Deborah (David) Coniglio, Mary (James) Clarke; sisters, Rose Dziekonski, Agnes Holmes; grandchildren, Sarah, Eric, Stephanie, Justin, Fern, Nicole, Patrick; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Rinko; brothers, Frank, Peter, Andrew, Edward, Adam Dziekonski. Jake was a former Treasurer for Zion Episcopal Church, umpired Avon Little League, Avon Lions Club. Member of the Avon Boy Scouts, Genesee Council of Boy Scouts. He was an Avon Village Board member for 8 years. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and Korea. Family and friends are invited to call Sunday 2-4, 6-8 PM at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 350 Genesee St., Avon. Monday at 11 AM his Funeral Service will be held at Zion Episcopal Church, Avon. Interment, Avon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Avon Boy Scouts Camership Fund or Zion Episcopal Church.
