Maxey, Georgina J. "Jo" Horseheads- Elmira Heights: February 8, 2015 at age 91 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. Mrs. Maxey was born on October 22, 1923 the daughter of George and Ida Carley. She is survived by her daughters Jane (Edward) Yuker-Hanson of Avon, Judy (Robert) Ring of NE; grandchildren, Colleen, Ron, Will, Vicki; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence "Max" Maxey, son Richard Maxey. Mrs. Maxey won multiple medals in the Senior Olympics in Elmira. She worked at the Chemung County Visitors Center in Elmira for many years. She also managed many of the Best Western Hotels for many years. Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elimra.
