Avon-Lima: October 23, 2015, at age 92. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Mary Ellen (Harvey) Loss of Avon; children, Paul (Helene) of KY, Susan Loss Doran of PA, Mary Evelyn (Del) Towne of Livonia, Peter (Nicole) Loss of Avon; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; several nieces & nephews. Doc was predeceased by his brothers, Edward & Ronald Loss; sisters, Evelyn Greer and Helen Brisbane. Doc was a lifelong farmer in the Avon-Lima area, and he was retired from Rochester Telephone.

Family & friends are invited to call Tuesday, 4-7 PM at the O'Connell-Dougherty Funeral Home, 2041 Lake Ave., Lima. Wednesday at 10 AM, his Funeral Service will be held at St. Rose Church, Lima. Interment, St. Rose Cemetery, Lima. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lima Fire Dept., or a charity of your choice in his memory.
