Passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, September 5, 2024 at age 98. He was born, the son of Martin and Helen Coyne, on the family farm on March 24, 1926.

Ted is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Annis Coyne and grandson, Chase Nicholas Coyne. He is survived by his sons, Bob (Linda) Coyne, David (Kim) Coyne, Alan (Tana) Coyne, grandchildren, Jake (Pamela) Brown, Rob (Carrianne) Coyne, Jason (Jessica) Coyne, Hannah Hughes (Matt), Malachy Coyne, Nicole Bishop, (Josh); great-grandchildren, Jansen, Noah, Riley, Abby, Brayden, Grayson, Collin, Brooklyn Graham, Pressley.

Ted spent 98 years as an Avon resident. He was a rotary member for years, as well as a Paul Harris fellow. Ted was a member of Avon Ambulance for 50 years, as well as an Avon fireman for over 60 years. Ted started New Way Equipment in 1953, and Coyne Econo-wash shortly after.

Friends may call Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 350 Genesee St., Avon. His Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 at 12 Noon, at St. Agnes Church, 96 Prospect St., Avon. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Avon.
