Charles J. Cole Jr.
August 5, 1948 – July 4, 2025

Charles “Charlie” J. Cole Jr., 76, of Lima, New York, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025. A lifelong resident of Lima, Mr. Cole was the longtime co-owner of Jack & Jill’s Restaurant, where he worked alongside his family for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Cole; his children, Arlene Rivett (Joseph) and Charles J. Cole III; grandchildren, Charles J. Cole IV, Anna Rivett, Anthony Cole, and Jack Rivett; his brother, Lewis Cole (Mary); and his nieces and nephews: Matthew Cole (Jennifer), Alexis Portuondo (Rafael), and Joseph Cole (Ketura); along with their children, many other beloved family members and his very dear friend, Marylou Krest.

Charlie was a devoted Yankees fan, a lifelong Democrat, and cherished the simple joys of life—especially Sunday breakfasts with his grandsons.

Family and friends are invited to call Friday, July 11, 2025 from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at O’Connell - Dougherty Funeral Home, 2041 Lake Ave, Lima, NY, where his memorial service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, July 12, 2025. Interment St. Rose Cemetery, Lima.
