Lima: Died at home surrounded by his loving family on December 21, 2016 at the age of 78. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Elaine O’Brien; daughters, Cathie (Bill) Hubbard of Caledonia, Christine Jackson of Geneseo, Colleen (Patrick) Leahey of Harwich, MA.; step-sons, Scott Rider (Jill Lewis), John (Lori) Rider, Michael (Jill) Rider; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Anne O’Brien; daughter, Cindy O’Brien; brothers, Robert and Irish O’Brien. Charles was a retiree of Xerox Corp. He was a Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Family and friends are invited to call Monday 4-7PM at the O’Connell-Dougherty Funeral Home, 2041 Lake Ave., Lima, where his Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 10AM. Interment Miller’s Corners Cemetery, Ionia, NY. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Livingston County Hospice, 2 County Campus, Mt. Morris, NY 14510 or Lima Volunteer Ambulance, P.O.
