Fowlerville: On Oct. 23, 2015, Jim passed away peacefully, with his adoring family by his side. Jim was born on February 15, 1938 to James V. and Anna M. Arrigenna in the family home which he would reside in all his life.
Just like the growing gardens of a warm summer and the harvests of a brilliant fall, Jim’s work on earth has finished and a new season has begun. His family has reaped the rewards of this proud, steadfast, hardworking gardener. His strong hands quiet leadership, and simplicity towards life made his family blossom.
He is survived by loving wife of 54 years, Karen (Dougherty); his devoted children and grandchildren, Jackie and Jack Magiera, Patti and Dan Barefoot Chrissy and Larry Harris, Julie (Dave Downey) Arrigenna, Jim Arrigenna, Jaymeson and Abby Barefoot, Kellen, Connor and Quinn Magiera. Jim is also survived by his wonderful sisters, Ann Jerris and Rose Biondolillo, numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; aunt, Leah Vitale, many generous nieces and nephews, cousins and his faithful barn cat, “Bella”. Jim is predeceased by his parents, James V. and Anna M. (Vitale) Arrigenna and brother, Anthony C. Arrigenna.
Jim retired as a Foreman from Kaddis Manufacturing with 30+ years of service.
Family and Friends may call Wednesday, 3-7 PM at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 350 Genesee St., Avon. His Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, 11 AM at St. Agnes Church, Avon. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Geneseo.
